Hi Tom
Your sentence is fine, but it suggests to me that you may have hit a dead end in your career -- i.e. you might like to progress further in your career, but are unable to. Was it your intention to suggest that?
I guess the exact interpretation of your sentence would be pretty context dependent. . _________________ "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." ~ Abraham Lincoln |

Amy, if one feels that one has reached one's saturation point in some office--or there is no more promotion to look forward to, can't he say? I am adding one word.

. I suppose you could say that, Tom.
If it is clear from the broader context that you are referring to your career, you might hear sentences such as these:
- I've gone just about as far as I can go here. It's time to move on. - My career is at a dead-end here. - There are no challenges (or opportunities) left for me here.
And especially a woman might say something like this: - I've hit the glass ceiling. . _________________ "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." ~ Abraham Lincoln |
