(a) uncle

(c) received

What is mistake?

.
The mistake that you are expected to find is the word 'presence'. The correct word would be 'presents'.

Note to Torsten:
There is also a typo that needs correction. "L" should be "I":
You are really a very kind uncle and I must say it was one of the best presents I have received this year.

Oops! Where did the test-taker's post go? (I don't have the ability to delete or change someone else's post, do I?) Shocked

Hi, Amy

A wild guess: some of the modertors had deleted the test-taker's post (considering it noninformative) before you posted yours - what a chance of that ?!? Smile
Incidentally, surprisingly enough, the thread's author is still Mr. Guest, although the first post in the thread is yours Confused A bug in the software..

Hi Alex

Yes, that must be it. Somebody probably deleted the original post just after I answered it, not realizing there was already an answer there...

Either that or I've become clairvoyant and can now spot typos without actually looking at a test sentence first. Shocked Laughing
