Hey everybody! I hope everything is wonderful

Could you please take a look of this essay?

I appreciate it. JorgeDavid

LECTURE AND PARAGRAPH ABOUT ALTRUISM

The lecture states an opposite opinion about what was said in the paragraph about altruistic acts. It was said by the narrator that Meerkats behavior is not really an altruistic action, since it has been proved that the one who stand in guard during the others eat, has already eaten and once it witness the presence of a predator, it is the first in avoid the danger, running through the burrows to hide, after alarm the other Meerkats. This contradicts what was said in the paragraph, and as a result of this alarm, the study reveals that the other members of the group are actually more in danger since gathering together they attract the attention of the predator, and the sentinel has more chance to escape. Now, talking about human unselfish actions, contrary to the paragraph the narrator brought an example to challenge what was said. A person could donate his own organ to a family member, or gives blood for a hospital in need. These acts are not entirely altruistic, the donator could feel an increase in his self-worth, and also receive some appreciation from the family and society for this donation. Theses non material values could be consider awards for who receive them.
