for eg:a student would prefer a university which has its study program designed in such a way that can give the student the maximum possible techinical insight, rather than a university that has a variety of courses being covered in its academic program.===> example, technical. Spell correctly. Use google spell checker when typing. Your sentences are long and points have been used redundantly. Universities with excellent education are preferred by a student. A variety of courses can deviate a students mind. In the end, he will be left with minute knowledge of his own favourite subject.
This is breaking of sentences. |

The statement that students should be taught variety of courses beyond their field is improper. Every student wishes to master a subject of his choice and interest. He may aspire to become a doctor, lawyer, engineer or a scientist. One cannot imagine a lawyer doing surgeries. The above statement is therefore ambiguous. Mastering one field would be easier for a student compared to mastering several fields at once.
These days many students commit suicide, or leave studies due to growing pressure and increase in competition. Earlier we had less subjects in academics, students used to study few subjects and get excellent grades. This can be one reason why we had so many discoveries and theories in the past then in present. Trying to force too many subjects on students so that he becomes a learned scholar leaves the student in dilemma where he is unable to decide which subject is best for him. The universities and institutes in India force several non optional subjects on students during their academic life. He has to study 45 subjects in 4 years times. So at the end of his education the student usually wanders to determine his field of interest.
The grades he would have achieved if he studied fewer subjects, would have been more compared to what he secured with numerous subjects. Besides the complexity of subjects and over burden on taking more subjects will be reduced. He can devote more time on one subject and have a better knowledge of it rather then taking more subjects, with small knowledge of it. The idea of making the student versatile is vague and not in the benefit of the student. Therefore it is better to have a student study lesser subjects of his interest rather then diverse subjects not related to his course. |
