Hi,

Could you please read the following sentence and tell me why an is used : (while days is plural)

It promises to be an exciting few days.

(From Oxford Dictionary)

Does this mean a few days are exciting ?

Thanks

I think "few days" is used as a compound noun here. I agree it's a strange construction to figure out grammatically, but it's not unusual.
