Hi Jovanna
Yes, there seems to be a typo in the test. The word 'us' seems to have been deleted after the word 'lend'. Thanks for pointing that out. . _________________ "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." ~ Abraham Lincoln |

Hi, Amy
Incidentally, why is "give" totally wrong? I understand, that the best choice is "lend", but nevertheless don't you think that "Can you please give me some money" sounds quite natural, do you? ;) |

Hi Alex
Your point is a good one, and you might possibly hear 'give' used in 'street English' ( ;)). However, in my opinion, the word 'lend' is better here since the meaning of 'lend' also suggests 'give back later'. . _________________ "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." ~ Abraham Lincoln |

Hi Alex and Amy,
Thanks for pointing out the missing object pronoun, we've added and the new version will go online soon.
