Hi, everybody who's online :)

Could you tell me the meaning of these phrases in bold:

Quote:
Cut me for a lion share
It's mindless but I don't care
Just no matter what I say I'm in another fight
Drink more shit I've had enough
Tonight I'm gonna rip it off (The singer says "off" but in the script it says "up". )
Broken window'll cure my ills and make me feel all-right

Thanks!

I'm not sure-- song lyrics tend to be ungrammatical and/or logically meaningless-- they are meant to arouse inchoate emotions.

Cut me the lion's share (note slight changes) would mean 'give me the biggest portion'.

I'm gonna rip it up is probably intended and probably means 'I intend to act without restraint'. 'Rip off' has a different meaning-- it means 'steal'.

Hi, MM

Thank You !!
The group is Offspring, if this rings the bell. They are native speakers of English... It is a pity that they make mistakes ... From now on I won't consider them as role models !!!

I don't think they made any mistakes-- they were just singing with passion. But no, pop bands don't generally make good role models.
