What about me? If I am really a gay boy, what will I meet with? Do you hate gays?

Who are you talking to Edison? If you are talking to me, then, no, I don't hate gays.

Maybe, only if he is after my boyfriend,

In a way, I would probably feel safer around gay MEN.

And so am I

@Edison: Here are the lyrics to one of Oasis' better songs. Maybe it helps balancing out your troubled mind...

Hmmm...sounds like a good suggestion...

Edison

While I have never had such feelings, I've heard it's not terribly uncommon for people to be "confused" in matters of sex. I wouldn't be hasty to jump to any conclusions as you seek to determine your orientation. Just be yourself, and you'll figure it out sooner or later.

Hi Edison,

I see your problem. Many people, both men and women, have that kind of confusion as well. Say, it's just your body reaction, not your mind. You don't have to worry about it because most of the time gays' body and mind are closely related :D.

I think the main thing is to relax -- you'll figure it out. Worrying about it won't help.

what do you mean "you go "too bad" for something" ???

oh, so you did mean "to go to bat for"...that's ok :o maybe "to take sb.'s side" would be a little bit more appropriate
Why would "to take sb.'s side" be more appropriate? Is it simply because you don't use "to go to bat for someone" in the UK?

If that's the case, we should categorize quite a few of the tests on this site as "not very appropriate" since some of the idioms and expressions in them are not known and/or used in North America.

Personally, I give Alex a lot of credit not only for knowing the expression, but also for having been able to use "go to bat for" appropriately in a sentence.

I do as well. Take it easy. The world is not either with or against you.

By the way, it is quite interesting what you choose to react to and how, Ralf.

So, why is it that you think "to take sb.'s side" would have been "a little bit more appropriate"?
