Well, I don't suggest you watch movies of that kind. Being gay is certainly not cool. Snap out of it !!! |

Being gay is certainly not cool if you're unfortunate enough to socialise with people who are intolerant. Apart from that, any kind of buoyant spirit (or gay mood) is a passable quality.
Watching whatever film should be OK unless it infringes rights of people or animals. You can watch whatever you want, even South Park.
And Alex, you should snap out of using snap-out phrases as in 'snap out of it' _________________ Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL Preparation & TOEFL Vocabulary Learn more: How to Become an English Teacher |

Edison,
Just a tip that I think of, a bit preposterous, but it might help.
Would it be okay if a man kisses you the way a man romantically kisses a woman? I think if a man out of nowhere kisses me, I would probably slap him once. But if a girl kisses me THAT way, I probably slap her twice, jump two metres away, and then followed by me crying uncontrollably.
So I know I am very straight. Think about it.

Ralf,
An honest question, what is wrong with 'snap out of it'?
And what do you think of people registering their own style of English? In this case, to speak in an informal register.

Hi, Nina I'm suspecting that Ralf is not straight, because he goes to bat for queers that eagerly...
@Ralf: I'm sorry if I sounded offensive, I have no grudge against queers |

When used in a devil-may-care way, such phrasing may hurt someone's feelings. I don't approve of that at all. It's a bit like saying "Snap out of being heterosexual - that's so not cool!" _________________ Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL Preparation & TOEFL Vocabulary Learn more: How to Become an English Teacher |

You can suspect whatever you like. In English, if you go "too bad" for something it indicates that you have some kind of ill-fated vice. My only vice is smoking (but no cock). _________________ Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL Preparation & TOEFL Vocabulary Learn more: How to Become an English Teacher |

I hope no pun intended in your last sentence, Ralf. |
