Technological developments, especially at the second half of 20th century, brought uncountable advantages particularly in the branches of communication and transportation between nations and individuals seperated through wide distances. Internet is perhaps the most important technologic development alongside airplane and telephone.

Primary virtue of internet comes with its uncomplex and easy use. Today, each telephone and computer owner has the ability to connect to the internet and to benefit the advantages of integrating with a world that has an unlimited sources and capabilities for information and communication. Internet offers information on a wide and various range of subjects. It is possible to obtain information about your childhood friend and your term project as well on internet. It is like an 24 hours open library serving you at any time and for any subject.

Internet also is a fast, cheap and safe way to gain or give information . It introduces the practices of electronic mailing in which as long as you have a mail account on internet, you have the opportunity to sending or receiving mails, and world wide web in which as long as you have an adequate internet connection, you are able to gain information about any subject on the internet. For example, you may learn anything about a product that you are going to buy or even you may buy products on internet or you may get information about the college which you are going to study next year. Besides, internet is not expensive even it is free in some regions in the world. In U.S.A. and some European countries, people are allowed to use internet free and they are encouraged to use it. In the countries it is not free, people enjoy it by paying reasonable prices.

In conclusion, alongside other developments and inventions, internet may be considered as the most important one through its simplicity, speed, safety and price on contacting to people and acquiring knowledge.
