Why go to university?

People have different purposes and reasons when they decide to enroll a university. Some people go to the university to have a better job career in the future, some people attend university to meet people with different background and some other go to university simply in order to expand their knowledge and level of education.

Universities offer higher level education and training for a wide variety of occupations. People deal with subjects and information in depth in universities. They have opportunity to make job practice and internship which will serve as a practical experience for their major branch of education and university education also provides an advantage of superiority in order to be accepted for a job.

There are also students from different countries and cultures in universities. It is a good chance to meet people who have different understanding of world rather than yours. People with different backgrounds learn and exchange their values and traditions which contributes one’s general knowledge about world and nations. My brother had a friend from Egypt when he was undergraduate. Three or four years proceeding his graduation, he took a travel to Egypt and when he went there, he was familiar with many rules and values so it was easy for him to conform to living style of people and prevented him from experiencing a culture shock.

Besides, people may tend to go to universities simply to enhance their education and knowledge. Subjects and topics are analyzed in more depth and detail in universities. So people have the chance to improve their knowledge and conception about the topic they concern and this also adds their general culture.

In conclusion, people go to universities because it comes with important advantages. People can have a better job career, they can meet people with different way of thinking and culture and they can simply expand their knowledge and general culture when they go to university.
