Dear Alan,
I am very interested in the way you have written your essay. I'm only a teacher of English in a lower secondary school so my writing skill is not very good.
At present whenever I have time I always use your products- ebooks as a teacher. I read them on my computer screen ,sometimes I print off the interesting tests. I like them very much. I want to have some more suitable English tests for my pupils at school.
By the way, I would like to ask you a question about when we use simple future. Last week one of my friend- He is a teacher of English too, taught the simple future tense to his pupils and then I was an observer. He explained to his students that we use simple future to tell about the future plans. I didn't agree with this point so after the lecture I told this to him but he was unpleased and angry to me. I don't know whether I was correct or not. Because when I explain this to my students I usually say that this tense is used to tell about the decisions at the moment of speaking or a prediction, a promise ... but not plan.
How do you, an native speaker, explain this to me? Thank you for your help.
Talk to you soon.

Dear Alan,
I hope you are well. Here is all right. I’m sorry for my late letter, but I have wanted to write a perfect letter to you about me (not only some words). I have not enough free time in last months so I postponed this writing. The main thing is that I am here now. I like your website and your essays (Spring has sprung, May I have a word..). There were many new words in them for me and themes of your writings were very interesting. I think you like game with words. So do I. I’d like to improve my English knowledge (words, phrasal verbs, idioms…) as high as possible because I have got more result.
 Firstly I like this language.
 Secondly it will be good to have a job in area of language-teaching or translating.
 I like surfing the Net but the most information is in English and I would like to understand them. I am interested in many things for example figure skating, football, animals, healthy lifestyle, culture of nations (celebrations, eating habits…), famous people…
 I like travelling abroad so I have to speak in English. I was in Netherland on last September for a few days but I’d like to go to many nice places of the world. Such as England, Scotland, Peru, Italy, Spain…
Attend to a Hungarian saying if you speak languages more than one, you will be more people. I have decided to read all English news, letters, novels which come towards my way. I have already read Mary Poppins comes back, Around the world in eighty days, Black Beauty. I get the daily newsletter every day from a famous English news (I read & love it). I begun to read the Tenant of Wildfell Hall yesterday. Of course, there will be many new things for me. So I will write you more times than before.
I finish my letter (I think it is succeed too long), I wish you good health & thanks for your help in advance.
I hope to hear from you soon. Have a nice day,
Yours faithfully,

Dear Zahra,

Many thanks for your question. In order to answer it I'd need to know what you mean by "Tunisian written English tests". What kind of tests are these? Can you show us an example please? As you know, there are all kinds of English tests available and the definition of the term depends on various factors.

Best regards,
Torsten
