Are the sentences bellow called verb?

Nobody in this house "works" on Sunday
Jacob "works" in a big bank
The television "works" well
Grace "is going" to visit her parents
James "is going" to fly to Canada

explanation:

- "is going" describes an action. so I call it a verb.
- "works" describes a state. so I call it a verb.
