the advantage of wiki is that you have so many more entries than a standard encyclopedia , things that are relatively not controversial are actually pretty accurate but things such as Turkey/Armenian Genocide or Chinese/Taiwan history can get a little unreliable
Here's a good article by The Economist (a bit tough if you're not a native speaker though)

I know that's a good encyclopedia,but actually we can not connect the Wikipedia site in China mainland.

arlindomarco, all Wikipedia articles are checked my moderators, so it seems as if it's a good source of information. On the other hand however, all moderators are volunteers as far as I know (in other words - they're not getting paid), so they not always manage or not always bother to double-check all articles. If you're looking for some typically cultural or specific topics, you can always see the external links or the sources that usually are on the bottom of each entry. None ecnyclopedia is flawless, regardless of whether electronic, online, or typical "book-style", but I generally think that Wikipedia is a pretty decent source of information  _________________ Nicotine, valium, vocodin, marihuana, extasy and alcohol... |
