| Congratulations! Your both's scores are really noticeable. I also have had exam at last Friday. So how long did it take to receive your scores? Specifically how many days? |

I received them last Friday (9th of November), they need 15 business days (since I did my exam on Sunday the 21st of October).
I am planning to rescore my speaking maybe I will get a higher grade (the 22) for 60$ , will they count the last score or the highest? for example if I get a 18 . will they count the 20 or the 18? |

| Thanks, I know that they consider the highest score you achieved. Though, are we allowed to take only a unique section of the test in order to rise the score? |

| no u can request for writing and speaking for 120$. or u can request for only one for 60$ but i heard that they will count only the last score. so if u got a lower grade, they will count it instead of the higher. |

Hello da designer
I had exam at last friday. I think for speaking it will be useful to make 4-5 hours practice on the day before test date. If you are good at writing, don't worry about the writing section. It was really easy in the test for me. Actually I can say that listenning and reading sections were harder than speaking and writing which is unexpected for me.
So if you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. |

hello da designer
In fact I was thinking that reading and listening would be easy for me since I was often gaining full points from practice test for both reading and listening before the test. However, at the actual test, especially, vocabulary questions were much harder than ones in the practice tests. For reading section, I have not read whole the passage at once, instead, first I have read the questions and then sought answers. In spite of this, it was still hard to phase time to answer each question effectively.
In the listening section, the conversations and lectures were really fair to comprehend but questions were usually about the minor points. Also there was only one question for each lecture and conversation that repeats the some part of speaking and asks about the imply and tendency of speaker.
I don't know maybe opposite happens to you. So I suggest you to prepare by considering the hardest possibility. |

The independent writing task was easy. I do not remember exact topic but It was something like that "Do either airplanes or automobiles make a greater impact on the human life. Which one has a deeper effect on people? Use specific examples to support your idea."
One week has passed since I had the exam and I think I will receive the exam score in the following two week. When I got it, I will share it here. |

Sat Jan 26, 2008 1:14 am regarding speaking section re-scoring |
|
|
I got my TOEFL IBT score recently, and I only got 22 in speaking section. The school I am applying for requires a 24 out of 30 in speaking section. Now I am really upset. I thought I did pretty ok in five questions except one integrated question, but the TOEFL evaluation survey says that all my scores on familiar topics, campus situations and academic course are average (Fair 2.5-3.0). I am kind of confused about that.
Can any of you answering the following questions? thank you for your kind patience.
Have anybody successfully tried re-scoring? If yes, how many more points did you get after the re-scoring? How long does it take them to re-score?
Thanks again. |

Hello Vuralorion
I actually did the same thing in the reading section as what you did but in the end were they usually ask for the summary it was tough for me as i have to read some of the passage and that time was really a big2x factor..If you have any techniques in that section can you please share it thank you so much. |
