TOEFL essay samples: Parents are the best teachers

Hi,

Hope every1 out there having wonderful time, I need ur support, coz within 3 week i will have Toefl Test, so i am confident about listening, Reading, Structure but worried about writing an essay , so just to check my ability, i typed my essay about this topic within 30 min.. so plz any1 there, help me and score me..

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers.

Parents are the best teachers. I totally agree with this and i am very lucky to have my parents as the best teachers in my life.
Teachers are those people that show us what is right and what is wrong in our life, and also there are two kind of teachers, one who teaches us social behaviour such as how to talk,behave with someone older or smaller than us, how to wear cloths, and most importantly how to eat.
And the 2nd teacher, help us to get improved in our life and to provide better future for us and for our comming descendent.
I really prefer social teachers, because if a person is highly appreciated among the society but he isn't a good human being, then everything he has, is worthless.
So who can make us a good human being , is only our parents because they are with us in everytime , whatever we do, they just observe us and if it is worng, they will show the correct way but if it is right,they will appreciate it .
Also parents can be a good friends, so we can share our feeling and all those things that we cannot share with a teacher.
So in conclusion, i would like to write that, parents who are educated and well respected in society can be the best teachers for their children.

What do you think, wht mistakes i hv in this topic and how much can i get in Toefl for writing ?

Throughout our life we meet different people , we learn everyday .Of the influential persons we dealt with are our parents . Do we learn from parents or teachers ? To whom we may show gratitude ? Some favors teachers and some favours parents .
Once a baby is born , he learns how to speak from his parents , he watches his parents attitude in different situations so he aquires his behaviour from his mother and father . So i think that parents are good teachers for their kids . Teachers may not have enough time to teach their students all of life envolves.
finally, parents could be teachers , but teachers could not be parents always

Hey Fawad,
You have three weeks to prepare for the TOEFL right ?
If you are confident with all the other section, I do recomend you to focus on essay writing
the TOEFL markers, expect an essay with at least tree paragraphs, and at least 250 words.
I think you should organize better your essays. In the introduction, you have to have a hook,
which is the very first sentence and it's going to grab the reader's attention. After this, the background
information has to give some informations and brings the hook to a more speficic point.
Finally the thesis, this is the point that you made: "I am very lucky to my parents as my best teacher"
I think you should include in the thesis why is your parents the best teachers.
Give 3 point.
for example, this is a thesis statement :

" Even though academic professor from university and school provide people with good knowledge, I stronlgy
agree with the statement above. Parents are the best theachers because they have taught me valuable lessons about life,
they have taken care of me since my childhood, and they have given me advice about problems that we may face in the future"

Can you see that I made three clear point in how I am going to develop my essay ?
now, I would make three body paragraph, each one for point that I made in the thesis statement.
Each paragraph should have a minimum of three or four setences, so then you can give enough details to support your points.

Finally, you write your conclusion, and there you restate the three main points that you made in the introduction
and bring the the ideias to a close.

Reading essays from other people will definitely help you, as it helped me.
I will make my first toefl attempt in one month, and I'm practising a lot!
so, practice is the key for all, read books, such as BArron's, Longman, the official guide to the new toefl, that you'll
be ok because your ideias in this essay are good.

Parents are the best model for our future.The way they are living and teaching provide a great impact
in our future life.Most of us are reflecting our parents behaviour and what they teach us.I agree with the
statement parents are the best teacher.

My first teacher is my parents.they taught me how to speak,how to respect others.they are guiding me
from the childhood till now.They guide me to become good student.They adviced me about future plan.
they showed the good path of life.They taught me how how to make a difference between good and bad.
Their advice lead me to the good way and makes me aware of the bad habits.Thus the childhood teaching
by our parents is the one which persist for ever.

Persons activity primaly depends on the the way they expose. Many researches implies that, the baby
is the replication of their parents.for example if a boy, who lived in the environment where their parents are
with good behaviour ,he will become a goob person in the future. Whatever the parents teach it reflects in
their child behaviour. Character of the person depends on the way the parents teach.

When we compare the parents with the acadamedic teachers,they are are the one who improve our
knowledge but the the main source of behaviour and intellegent comes from our parents.We get our
basic knowledge come our parents.

In conclussion parents are best teacher. They are the one who make their children noble and respected person
in the society.
