Hello everyone! What does the adj. near-term mean in the following sentence: Turkey's government knows that any move to shut down the 600-mile pipeline from...to...would have little near-term impact. Thanks, Jovana

'Near-term' means 'short-term', i.e. 'for a short period from now'.
