Some sentences with "front"

Hi

I am not very sure of the use of the word "front". Could you please see and tell me if all the sentences are correct and natural?

1- Some animals can see back and in front at the same time.

2- (Teacher to student) I want everybody to see in front and not behind.

3- (Teacher to student) John, come in front of the class. (does it mean the front row or the to the board facing the other students--maybe for a speech?)

4- (Teacher to student) John, come to the front of the class. (does it mean the front row or the to the board facing the other students--maybe for a speech?)

5- (Teacher to student) John, come in the front of the class. (what does it mean?)

1-- 'in back and in front'-- rather informal for a biological discussion
2-- Odd. I would presume that the teacher wishes the students to look to the front rather than behind.
3-- Passable, I suppose, but rather casual-- #4 is the norm. The meanings are the same.
4-- The normal expression for between the board and one's classmates.
5-- Not a normal construction-- less passable than #3 though with presumably the same meaning.
