Hi

Is "pond" the word for the place in a forest where animals drink water. I mean I have seen in many movies--it's neither a river nor lake or sea. Some mass of land has water on it. Can we call it a pond?

Hi Tom

A pond is a small body of water. It is similar to but smaller than a lake, and considerably larger than a puddle.
