Hi everyone!
I accidently picked up a link to this forum surfing websites and I forthwith fell in love with it cos the admin is so affable and the English stuff in the site is so eye-catching too.
Let me tell you all a little bit about myself. I am a 23 year cool single girl from Hanoi, Vietnam. I am currently an MA linguistics student in VNU-CFL. My interests vary great deal, however Hollywood movies appeal me most. I like Nicolas Cage a lot cos he did change my moods in secs seeing his acting, so so..poignant I guess. My favorite quote is "where there is a will there is a way".
Last but not least, Very Happy I would be very happy to make friends and share some English learning experience with you all!
P/S. I have a very cute brother who is a webmaster, 6 years younger than me. Anyone out here would like to be my sister-in-law? please contact me. Very Happy

Hello!

Welcome to this forum. I'm pretty sure you will find many interesting stuff here. You will learn a lot of English here.

By the way, I also like Nicolas Cage. He has done great actings, especially in Face Off and Con Air.

If I'm not wrong, VNU-CFL stands for Vietnam National University - College of Foreign Language, sunny.

Hi Sunny and Sylphidae,
You both impressed me with your prompt replies. Very Happy . And Sylphidae construed just the name of the school I am studying, few minutes from my house Laughing.
By the way, Sylphidae, I got ashamed Embarassed for misspelling "Case" instead of the correct "Cage". I haven't seen Face Off and Con Air Sad . Can you tell me what it is about? I will get the movie soon. I love "Leaving Las Vagas", it is so moving, isn't it?

Regards
Le

Hi! #5 (permalink) Mon Jan 24, 2005 4:37 am   Hi!

Face/Off is a story of a cop named Sean Archer (John Travolta) who has been chasing Castor Troy (Nicholas Cage), a notorious terrorist. For some reasons, Troy falls into coma, Sean goes undercover looking like Troy, and...You have to watch it.

I'm sure you will like the performances of Nicholas Cage and John Travolta in this movie.
