Hi

Do you find the red expression correct and natural?

Quote:
I have tried to explain to her, but she is not being understanding.

If not, why not?

I think it's perfectly normal spoken English. "Being" is a verb here, and "understanding" is an adjective.

You could also say, "She's showing no sympathy," and there are other things you could say.
