Hi everyone
I'd like to ask about the meaning of "pile together away".

People need to see how other people survive adversity. I mean, look at how these people live. They got no guarantee of a good home, 'cause they gotta pile together away from ti-rot, they got no guarantee of a job, no guarantee of nothing.

Ti-rot is a very dangerous poisonous substance, invented by the author of the book, but what does "pile together away" mean?

To pile together away suggests a hasty departure in an unorganised group.
