Group1 vs. Group 2

The sentences in group 1 are from a book.
and i wrote the sentences in Group 2 but I am not sure whether these sentences expressed the same meaning as the counterparts in group 1.

Group 1: Leave the television on.
Group 2: Keep the television on. /Don't turn the television off.

Group 1: He went out leaving the door open.
Group 2: He went out with the door open.

Group 1: Her father's death left her an orphan.
Group 2: When her father died, she became an orphan.

Group 1: Then I left him standing by the counter so happy that I almost envied envied him.
Group 2: Then I left while he stand by the counter so happy that I almost him.

Group 2: He went out with the door open. No, a sentence with a similar meaning would be He didn't close the door when he left.

Group 1: Her father's death left her an orphan.
Group 2: When her father died, she became an orphan. OK

Group 1: Then I left him standing by the counter so happy that I almost envied envied him.
Group 2: Then I left while he was standing by the counter so happy that I almost envied him. (You wrote 'envied' twice in the first sentence and not at all in the second. Wink)
