Do you find all of the following expressions correct and natural?

Quote:
1- Decrease the air-conditioning.
2- Lower the air-conditioning.
3- Slow down the air-conditioning.

No, none of them seem so to me-- and #3 the least. 'Turn down' is the expected.

Sorry for changing gears, but what about these-- the same as air conditioning?

1- Decrease the volume (of the TV).
2- Lower the volume (of the TV).
3- Reduce the volume (of the TV).
4- Turn down the volume (of the TV).


and

    Yes, Tom, as with 'air conditioning', the usual phrase here is 'turn up/down (the TV)'.
