Hi

Do you find the following sentence correct and natural? It has been spoken by a writer.

Quote:
"In my continuation of the story, I have twisted the tale."

Hi Tom,

I am assuming you did mean tale. I find the sentence a bit wobbly and awkward. Perhaps - in the continuation of my story .... Then again with such a small snippet it's difficult to appreciate the context.

Hi, Alan
But what if there is only one story and many continuations for it from different people. And I say "In my continuation of the story..."
Does it still sound awkward to you?

Thanks.

Good point. That just indicates why context is all important.
