Hi,

I'm curious about the ways you use to say that your computer has sudenly become very slow, irresponsible to your commands (like you just ran a very big program which takes a lot of resourses).

Could you say "The darn thing froze up again !"
or "The computer hung again !!! I'm about to choke it out the window" ?

Or maybe you have your own favourite phrase, then I'd like to know it.

Thanks !

Hi Alex,

Hang-up is what I barely say in the similar situation. But your suggested option freeze up I like better now

Alex, you should say unresponsive (неотзывчивый) to your commands.

"Choke" something out the window doesn't make sense to me. Are you sure you don't want to say chuck it out the window?

If the computer completely stops, we say it seizes or crashes.

If it doesn't seize up but becomes very slow to process commands, we sometimes say the computer gets constipated.

Sorry, Jamie... How irresponsible of me  Yes, I actually did want to write "unresponsive" and "chuck"... Just not getting enough sleep told on me :)
