Hi,

Could you tell me if you find the following sentence correct and natural, please

Quote:
My wife made me feel a guilt trip over me not having been able to get to the dinner with her family last Friday.

Thanks

That sentence is unnatural on a few different levels.

You either put someone on a guilt trip or you give them a guilt trip because of or for something.

A better way to say it would be, "My wife put me on a guilt trip because I didn't get to dinner with her family last Friday," or, "My wife gave me a guilt trip for not having dinner with her family last Friday."
