You're absolutely right. It's also worthy of notice that the percentage of posts here per day is a bit lower as compared with some other forums. And even with such index Amy has managed to reach this high mark for approximately 20 months. It's a downright record.

P.S.Amy, keep on posting further, further and further and never slow down!

Thank you for such a nice thread and your nice words, Torsten. I'm flattered (and also a little embarrassed). Embarassed

It's been interesting talking to the people who post here -- both students and teachers alike. One of the most rewarding aspects for me is the thought that I might have been able to give a few people a worthwhile tip or two along the way.
But the help works both ways. The people who ask questions here frequently help me! The questions that learners ask often give me a better insight on how to help my "real life" students more effectively.

Thanks everyone. Very Happy

Thanks.

Would you also like to enlighten everyone about what you think is not real? I bet that would make for some really entertaining reading.

"keep it real" can have many meanings. what i had in mind was "hang in there" Wink

check

ps - sorry i couldn't find a better clip to illustrate the phrase. but i think you'll get the you-hang-in-there gist.

Hi Amy!

Congratulations from me, too. Not only that you posted a huge number of posts and helpful explanations since you entered the site, you also have made the greatest change while being a member of this site, as much as I know. Well done.

By the way, how about your cat? Is it fine, also?

your sincerely

Thanks, Slava.
Thanks, Michael. It's nice to hear from you again.

Both of my German kitties are thriving here. They even adjusted to their new, scaly "brother" -- the iguana (who is fond of soccer balls for some reason). Laughing

By the way, my niece goes riding every Saturday -- on an Arabian horse. Very Happy

Hi Amy,

Good to hear that everything is fine with your kitties. By the way, as I know you they are meowing, yet (instead of miouwing (assigned to British cats mainly-at least dict.leo.org recomments that)). Smile Hope your new scaly housemate is a vegetarian........... - and likes playing with the soccerballs rather than eating them. Smile

As for your niece´s hobbyhorse, now you might convince yourself that she is on good hoofs.

And how about you? Are you teaching Buisiness German now in the US or teaching immigrants?

Whatever you do, back in your homeland, I wish you a pleasant New Years Eve and a successful Year 2008!
