Examples of TOEFL speaking - independant tasks from a real TOEFL test? Wed Dec 19, 2007 2:45 am  Examples of TOEFL speaking - independant tasks from a real TOEFL test?

Can anyone who has already taken the TOEFL tell me what were the topics in the first two tasks (independent tasks)?
Were those topics very different from those that can be found in preparation materials (Longman, ETS, Barron's etc.)?

Many thanks!

Hello Fragola,

I took it a month ago. The topics for those tasks are very similar to the ones you can find in the ETS material. Actually, if you have been practicing ( If not start right now) you will find them easy. You have to give your own opinion about school issues, partnership, Family, describing a good friend, etc. Something related to what you commonly talk and hear everyday. Bottom line... start practicing, try recording your own voice, listen to the radio and TV. Practice the exercises in ETS material in your own.

Regards,

David
