Greetings,
My name is George, I'm 17 years old, and I'm currently residing and studying in the republic of Georgia. For those that presume I'm implying the State of Georgia, or for those that used to snore on their geography lessons, Georgia is a small republic bordering Turkey to the south, and Russia to the north.
I had lived in both of these neighboring countries, and if being more precise, three years in Istanbul and eight years of striking frost and frozen lips in Moscow. I happened to return back to my homeland 2 years ago.
Anyways, I have come on these forums in order to give a lending hand in the Grammar forum, and to gradually improve my handling of the English grammar whilst doing so; after all, it's never too late to learn and expand thyself, right?

Hi George,

Thanks a lot for joining our forum -- you really look like a fascinating person. Where and how have you learned English? And what do you do when you are not answering grammar questions on the Internet?

Talk to you soon,
Torsten

I started attending an American School in Moscow, and as you'd expect, all subjects were in English, and there was a big national diversity present amongst the students. Maybe you even heard of the school, it's called the International School of Tomorrow, and as far as I know, there are thousands of schools operating in the USA only.
Anyways, there basically were two major groups hang-out groups in the school, the first one was full of Africans and some Asians, and the second were the Russians and students from its adjacent territories.
You'd be surprised, but I was the only white guy in the first group. So yeah, I kinda grew in a "black community".
Who would expect that to happen to anyone in Moscow?
Anyways, I'm back in Tbilisi right now, and it's quite hard for me to assimilate or integrate myself into the existing community, since I'm used to multicultural hang-outs.
Well, what else can I add to this post? Maybe the fact that I'm fluent in Georgian, Russian, English, and soon to be fluent in French and Japanese will be an interesting note. Very Happy
