I was wondering what new about English could a person from Canada learn? For Christ's sake, you're a native speaker of English! Wink

Hi All,

We all live and learn. We are always students. I am a native speaker of the Hindi language but if I am to be tested on its grammar. I swear! I will get failed! Laughing

Hi Boke,

"The Indian Educational System is faulty." That statement, once said by Mr. M.K. Gandhi, still holds true. That simply means that "it doesn't correspond with the rural requirements." - Again I am quoting Gandhi's words.

No, the courses vary from state to state and English is not taught everywhere. In government schools generally they begin teaching English from upper primary classes. Up to 5th standard the students are not taught English. Only some ABC. Whereas in private schools English is the only or an optional medium of teaching. From 6th to 12th standards English is taught as a compulsory subject.

Well, I don't know if any changes have been made over these years. But, yes, many people over here are really good at English.

You know, when I was in school I couldn't get a chance to speak English. The other studetns would not like it.

Well, I am busy here right now. So, I stop here.

Have a nice day!

How do most people study? Do they have english language schools? They buy a english textbook and study by themselves? Internet?
