Hi Schoolboy,

Let's look at the sentence you are referring to:

As she's such a nasty little thing, I can see it won't take her long to wrap you round her little finger.

This means, she will have wrapped you round her little finger very soon.

It won't take long - it will happen soon.
It won't take me long to finish this translation - I'll soon be finished with this translation.

As she's such a nasty little thing, =1. As she has a nasty little thing or 2.As she is a nasty lttle thing? If 2. is correct,I can't understand how 'she' can be 'a thing'?

If the 1. is corret, what is this: little thing? in these whole sentence?

Many thanks :-)

'As she is a nasty little thing' is correct.

People are often described as being a certain type of thing. Here are some other examples:
she's a bright young thing
he's a happy little thing
she's a sweet young thing
he's a cute little thing
she's a mean old thing
he's a wicked, miserable old thing.

Used to express and give a reason for one's pity, affection, approval, or contempt for a person or animal
have a nice weekend in the country, you lucky thing!
the lamb was a puny little thing
