Let's look at the sentence you are referring to:

As she's such a nasty little thing, I can see it won't take her long to wrap you round her little finger.

This means, she will have wrapped you round her little finger very soon.

It won't take me long to finish this translation - I'll soon be finished with this translation.

which means

"She will have you do whatever she wants in a very short time"

if any mistake please correct me
