How about "Suni agdis gorgeous". Any pronunciation guides (you see I'd be more interested in the phonemics here than its actual Latin transcription...) _________________ Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL Preparation & TOEFL Vocabulary Learn more: How to Become an English Teacher |

Well, you read what you see, unlike in English where you hear "HAUS" but write "house". Basically, if you learn the Georgian letters, you'll be able to read anything not worrying about the pronunciation. And "Suni agdis, sayvarelo".

Hi Bud,
What's the difference between zhani, xani, jani, chini and ch'ari? Can you explain these sounds by using English examples? i.e., does zhani sound like the j in "juliet" or "job" without its preceding d-sound? _________________ Test of English as a Foreign Language TOEFL Preparation & TOEFL Vocabulary Learn more: How to Become an English Teacher |

I bet "zhani" is a zh -- like the J in Taj Mahal.
or the G in "menage" (French word) _________________ Billie Jean is not my lover. Hee. |

no offense, speakers of Georgian, but I read "Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah"

A man should be crazy to assert that Georgian is a beautiful language, so no offense taken |

I grew up in Turkey and in Russia. And seriously, I haven't felt any racial hatred towards me. But again, I grew up with blacks, not with Russians. I probably only had two or three Russian friends. |

They weren't afro americans. Hell, I don't even know any Afro-American, only Africans. And yes, I called them blacks, and sometimes voodoo people, and they used to call me Russian in response (it was our way of mocking each other lol). It was pretty fun, and I was actually the only Whitey in the black hang-out of the school. And here's a pic. Try to find me on it.
