I'm curious whether there is any specific expression or words in English for the meat and vegetables in soup. Actually, Korean has a word for them: 'gun-duh-ki'. Korean-English one says just "solid ingredients" or something, but it sounds a bit awkward to me.

Thank you in advance! Smile

"Solid ingredients" (as opposed to broth) is about as good a term as you're going to get. I don't think we have a commonly used word for this in English.

.
I think many people would just ask about 'the ingredients in the soup' or just 'what's in this soup?' The broth is usually taken for granted unless it is a strange colour.
