Hi Mr. Mic or anyone,
I've got a question here. In which sense is the word "so as that" being used and of course if the word "so as to" would be used in the same sense.

I saw one sentence on the internet

I did it so as that not to damage it.

You guys are always my lifesaver.

To me, that would always be wrong. I'd say the person who wrote that was either not a native speaker of English or wasn't paying very close attention to what they were writing. Possibly the person intended to say one of these two sentences and accidentally ended up combining them:

- I did it so as not to damage it.
- I did it so that I would not damage it.
