It's impossible to take out an insurance policy toacts of GOD,such as earthquakes.
Please tell me why we use ''to'' in the above sentence. Is is true?
By the way, is the phrase ''acts of GOD'' is natural disasters? This phrase is quite surprising, isn't it? Shocked

As far as I know, we always take out an insurance policy for acts of God or for something else, never to.

However, you take out an insurance policy on the thing you are insuring. So you take out an insurance policy on your life, your car, etc.

Yes, it means natural disasters or any big problem that is out of human control. A huge snowstorm that stops truck transport for a day wouldn't be called a natural disaster, but we'd still call it an act of God.

Why do you find it surprising?

That's the idea. God did to something, directly or indirectly, for people who believe in God.
