OALD help? Does anyone use Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary? Sat Jan 12, 2008 9:55 am  OALD help? Does anyone use Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary?

Hi does anyone use Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary ?

I wonder if there is any difference between MINIMUM, STANDARD and FULL installation. Because my computer are the slowest in the world, I have to take this into consideration.

It takes me about half a minute to look up a single word !!!
Thanks
sympathy

Hi Sympathy,

If you have access to the Internet you can use the online version of the dictionary and don't have to bother with installing it on your computer.

Hi Torsten,
I can use the online version but there are many useful features in the offline version: Word finder, searching using wildcards ...
I have tried installing Minimum, but it wasn't faster. I think I will install FULL, and use both online and offline version.
Anyway, thanks for your help.
