Are the two sentences both correct?

1. Country life gives him peace and quiet, which is why he can't enjoy living in big cities.

2. Country life gives him peace and quiet, which is what he can't enjoy living in big cities.

Well, grammatically 'yes', but neither is really idiomatic, Dragon. Try: Country life is quiet and peaceful; he doesn't enjoy living in big cities.
