I have an idea. I don't know if that will arouse you but I hope it will.
If you are RPG fans (Role-Playing game) I'm sure you'll like it.

To start with, I want to say about so called "Storytelling". It's a kind of a game which the players create on their own (don't worry, you don't have to be a programmer or sth Wink one thing you should like is WRITING and STORYTELLING.

You create your own world (the story may be set in a fantasy world or in the present time or whatever you want) by writing the history of the world, creating your own character, solving riddles etc.

One person is a GM (Game Master)- he/she creates THE GAME WORLD - writes about the world, available characters, quests etc.) and then enrols other players who creates their own Hero(character) by writing its history.
If u want to create your own hereo you also describe its features (virues and faults), appearance etc.
The GM sets up questes, invents riddles to solve and many other things.

You can find a lot of info about RPG storytelling in google.com, of course.

The aim of this text is that if you are interested, we could set up the game in ENGLISH to improve our WRITING SKILLS Smile

tell me what do ya think about it? Smile

Hi Michal,

Your idea is excellent -- let's start the game. What will your world look like? Maybe you will be our GM?

thanks ! I'm not sure if my language skills are sufficient to be the GM, but if we gather more people I'll try to manage this; however, I think that the GM has the most interesting work to do (but also the most difficult) and can control the whole game.
I prefer fantasy world( dragons, magic powers, knights and sorcerrers ) Smile

A friend of mine is a GM but only in Polish versions of Storytelling games. He creates a gameworld based on this history. We could use similar ideas but it's not obligatory. Just as an example :

what do you think, people ? Wink

Hi, michauek!
Unlike Torsten, I disagree with your idea. This is an English forum where talks about the English language take place. It's not a MMORPG forum. For Christ's sake, if you want to play a RPG, then install Lineage II or WoW and enjoy!
Peace >_<

Hi Dimitar,

Any idea and activity that helps us learn and improve our language skills is welcome on our forum. Michal suggested that we could start creating stories with unique and interesting characters and settings. I can't see anything wrong with that.

Hi, SkiIucK !

Firstly, playing MMORPG games and an idea of Storytelling games is NOT THE SAME.
Secondly, I just want people to consider this idea of improving language skills in this way. If you disagree with it, I'm not going to persuade you.
Do you think that writing stories in english, which requires more sophisticated vocabulary and grammar structures you don't use in writing an every single post, shouldn't take place right here? If you don't want to join us it's ok Wink

Whooot! Count me in! Anything educational + fun is a must for me to join! Hmm... maybe we could even make a "Fiction" sub-forum where members can "sign up" by introducing and describing their physical state and character. e.g. age, gender, height, clothes.

They can be encouraged to describe the types of clothing they are wearing, their accessories. We can create clans, races, wars where people join together to battle. I saw a RPG website that uses this method, it's simple and fun.

I have a foreshawdowing feeling that if this plan were to be carried out, it will be very successful when carried through. Great idea!

Nice to hear that, jadelinna!
Ok. So we have 3 people (including myself Very Happy). I think that we need at least 2 more people to start the game. I hope someone will join in.

Ok. Torsten, SkiIucK, jadelinna and I.
We are going to start soon if we find one more person, but I think that we could eventually start right now- with 4 people.

Torsten, what do you think about being our GM, because I figured out that my english skills may be not sufficient for this. My grammar mistakes and other things can be really annoying for you guys Razz I could give you some advice if necessarry related to the creation of game world etc. Or maybe SkiIucK or jadelinna feel the need to become the GM? Smile
please, tell me what do you think.

All right !! Smile
We are ready to start ! The only thing to do is to choose a GM who will prepare the game world and set up the rules.
Other players will have to create their personality cards with inofrmation required by the GM.

yea, but I'm not really convinced to lead the game. Ok democratic voting. I vote for Torsten. His language skills are far more better than mine I know that for the previous posts I have seen on this forum Wink
