Hi, I want to ask you some question.

I'm particularly interested in words that are verb but can be changed into nouns by add -ing ? Do you know some of them ? Please help me.

For example:
to paint, the paintings
jot, jottings
write, writings
read, readings
record, recordings,

and many more ...

Almost any verb can be changed into a noun by adding -ing. It's not a small subset.

Look up gerunds, and you'll see it. Some of these gerunds are so old that they've gotten specific meanings, but they basically operate the same.
