Hello, everyone! My name is Jonathan Zhao. #1 (permalink) Tue Jan 22, 2008 2:08 am   Hello, everyone! My name is Jonathan Zhao.

Hi, everyone. My name is Jonathan Zhao. I am Chinese, and I am living in Philadelphia City, USA as a resident. I came here 3 and a half years ago. I am studying in Community College of Phila. I still think learning English is a different job. I am feeling the more I know, the much more I need to know about them. Sometime is quite sad that I don't even know when can I become master in English. And I am happy to find out this forum, I think I can meet a lot of friends like me here. I believe that this is a nice place to learn English, and meet some friends.
Greeting,
Jonathan Zhao

Torsten你好,
I was very exciting when I found this forum. I read many topic here, and found out that Torsten reply a lot to the members of this community. You also give out many useful advices to people too. It is very lucky to have a admin like you that really cares about the members. Hope you can help me in English too!
I am living in Chinatown in Philadelphia. The people around Chinatown are all Chinese, and people doesn't speak English. And many people here doesn't know English. I can only speak to people in school. We usually speak cantonese at home. My life is simple and boring here. I go to school Monday to Friday, and work on the weekend in a Chinese restaurant called "Ocean City". I don't have much free time to spend. I spend a great amount of time to study. Basically when I am not in class, and don't need to work, I am studying in order to run for a degree and be able to get a better job. I am studying Engineering in Community College of Philadelphia, and I am planning to transfer to another university after summer 2008. I haven't decide which university to go to yet.
I came to Philadelphia for 3 years now, but I didn't go out to see what philadelphia look like. I only know some place near the center city. But I feel like that there are many immigration here, and might become more later. Maybe we can say philadelphia is one of the big city in USA, and also have large amount of population. I really don't know much about philadelphia.
Regards,
Jonathan!
