Hi,I'm a middle school English teacher from China. There was ever a multiple choice in our mid-term test paper:
--What's wrong,Mike?
--My car doesn't work.I don’t know ___ to do with it.
A.how B.what C.whether D.when
I choose B.what while many of my colleagues say A.how is right.
Please tell me which is the best answer.Tks first!

Hi lxguy and welcome.

Your choice is correct:
My car doesn't work. I don’t know what to do with it.

The correct collocations are:

- not know what to do with (something)
- not know how to deal with (something)
