TOEFL essay: You should not believe everything that you read in the newspaper Mon Jan 28, 2008 20:24 pm  TOEFL essay: You should not believe everything that you read in the newspaper

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? You should not believe everything that you read in the newspaper. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

Media is the medium by which the public stay connected to the outer world. In the ancient time only radio and newspapers were provide this kind of service. But nowadays the entire picture has been changed. Many privet news channels taking charge to show 24 hours news. These affect the shortage of new news, resulting the false news. Instead of this many people think this is the good thing to see transparency. Moral of the story, thinking changes head to head.

Many time accidently unwanted news are printed due to printing mistakes. For example on the stock market page, there are many numbers interpreted. So that the chances to print wrong number are taken in think. Same as other numeric values like election voting figures has such mistakes. Sometimes the real news has been hidden, because of chances to rites begun or any other kind of non-social activities. In addition, at the time of natural disaster or manmade terrorist activities like bomb blast or public firing the pictures of site are not given due to bad image on children mind.

Today the competition is rising, so that not only unwanted news but many time intentionally the false news are given to make different impression on people's mind and be first in race of popularity by filling unnecessary pages. For example many unwanted articles we can see.

At the end sum up all the ideas we can say by mistake or not but we are aware from original facts so I personally agree with the statement.
