I know the most common sentence would be "He advised her to get some qualifications before leaving school", but is the following sentence grammatically correct? "He advised her that she should make sure she got some qualifications before leaving school"
Thanks
Monica

Hi Monica,

Your second sentence is grammatically correct but I would add that it does rather read as a little bit longwinded and I think your version would be used by someone speaking/writing with particular emphasis.

Hope that helps.
