Expression "to be exact the condition of organ of hearing" #1 (permalink) Thu Jan 31, 2008 14:26 pm   Expression "to be exact the condition of organ of hearing"

Hello everyone
I'd like to ask if the following passage is written correctly.

During the analysis of results from medical evaluations carried out over the past two years (2006-7), a noticeable increase in the diagnosis of ENT pathology was detected, particularly in diagnoses relating to the ear.

Because health protection and life safety are of high priority in the company’s policy it is necessary to carry out some researches, to identify the real cause of this pathology, to take appropriate measures to prevent the development of occupational diseases. It is necessary to prepare the program, which will include noise control in working places as well as health monitoring of employees, to be exact the condition of organ of hearing.

ENT means ear, nose, throat.
The part I'm not sure of most is: "to be exact the condition of organ of hearing." Is it understandable to the reader that the phrase means health monitoring of the condition of organ of hearing. And do English speakers use the phrase "organ of hearing" or is it better to write "ear"?

Yes, try to keep your texts simple and straightforward, KLPNO, and don't get trapped in officialese English. Why tax the reader with 'organs of hearing' when 'ears' is all you mean?
