Can you help me answer this question?
What is the difference about the usage of clothes and clothing?
EX:Several items of...were found on the river bank
A.clothes b.clothing
which should I choose ?

Hi,

'Clothing' is a collective noun for several items we call clothes. 'Clothes' refers to the individual items. We would describe what you need to wear for very cold weather as 'warm clothing'. We would hang out the clothes (separate items) we have washed, on a line in the garden to dry.
