a difficult sentence starts with "Stand" Wed Feb 06, 2008 10:19 am  a difficult sentence starts with "Stand"

I was reading online news about US votes 2008, in which I found a difficult sentence that I couldn't understand at all:

"Stand John McCain tells supporters they were super on super Tuesday..."

I need someone help explain the word "Stand" in the above sentence.
I am not sure if it's a name.
