. Yes.
Tangerine: A generic name given to numerous small orange citrus fruits, more commonly known as mandarins. Satsumas are simply a different variety and clementines are a hybrid between the tangerine and the sweet orange.
Orange: The fruit of a tree of the genus citrus (Citrus Aurantium). It is usually round, and consists of pulpy carpels, commonly ten in number, enclosed in a leathery rind, which is easily separable, and is reddish yellow when ripe. There are numerous varieties of oranges; as, the bitter orange, which is supposed to be the original stock; the navel orange, which has the rudiment of a second orange embedded in the top of the fruit; the blood orange, with a reddish juice; and the horned orange, in which the carpels are partly separated.. _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |

Hi,Mister Micawber
But base on my personal experiences, tangerine is commonly ten in number and it is enclosed in a leathery rind. I mean the rind of tangerine is usually thicker than orange. Also, tangerine is easier to peel its rind than orange. Am I right?
Thanks for your help sincerely and happy lunar new year.

. Tangerines are easier to peel, but rinds of both tangerines and oranges are of various thicknesses from variety to variety. . _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |

Hi, Mister Micawber
As I remember, you live in Japan, right? I wonder if you celebrate lunar new year as well? I mean I want to know if Japanese also celebrates lunar new year. And like you, you're a foreigner,do you also celebrate it like a Japanese? _________________ In my view, the more mistakes someone else corrects me,the more I could learn.

. No, we do not celebrate the lunar New Year (neither Japanese nor ex-patriot). We do like to go to Chinatown for the festivities, though. . _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |
