Hello, I do not see the difference between "precursors", "predecessors" and "progenitors". Could you explain it to me?

Precursors and predecessors are simply 'things of the same sort that come before'-- but Sir William is not an item of economics. Only progenitor represents a person who initiates something.

Hi,

'Predecessor' can be used to describe someone who holds a position/job before the current holder.
