Hello again,

Could you tell me which is correct?

1. She is at the age to get married.
2. She is of the age to get married.
3. She is at an age to get married.
4. She is of an age to get married.

Thanks
Liza

"of the age" vs "at the age" Sun Feb 17, 2008 13:25 pm  "of the age" vs "at the age"

Hi,

I would prefer 3 and 4 using the indefinite article. When you use the definite article as in 1 and 2, this would usually be followed by another clause beginning with 'when' as inj:
She is at the age when people get married.
